The Board of Education unanimously approved conversion of Glenwood Springs Elementary School to an Expeditionary Learning School for the 2013-2014 school year. Expeditionary Learning is an approach to education that makes information and skills come alive for students by connecting learning to the real world. Students are challenged to think critically and take active roles in both their classrooms and their community through expeditions, projects, research and fieldwork.
