We ensure foster care students within our district have access to additional supports and services to stabilize, sustain and strengthen academic success.

Foster Care Education students have the right to:

• Free Lunch
• Flexibility with transportation
• Flexibility with staying in their school and their school district
• Maximum transitions due to school and placement changes
• Prompt transfer of transcripts and student referrals with each move
• FAFSA letter stating independent status (qualifies for more grants and loans)
• College scholarships
• Full participation in sports and extracurricular activities
• Access to both internal and external supports.
