This team is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Roaring Fork Schools. Each member manages a key area of the organization and provides expertise, vision, and oversight to support the district's mission that every student develops the enduring knowledge, skills, and character to thrive in a changing world.

JESÚS RODRÍGUEZ - Superintendent

Jesús Rodríguez was born and raised in Colorado and has served as an educator in a variety of capacities here in our state, including as a bilingual classroom teacher, principal, and instructional superintendent in the Denver Public Schools, as well as executive director of the BUENO Center at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Most recently he served as deputy chief academic officer in the Dallas Independent School District, serving approximately 150,000 students across 230 schools. He has a bachelor’s in elementary education and Spanish from the University of Northern Colorado, a master’s in educational equity and cultural diversity from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Denver. When not working, Jesús enjoys spending time with his wife Elle, son Cosme, and dog Cain. He enjoys spending time outdoors by golfing, bicycling, running, and ending the day with a great book and a tasty donut.

Stacey Park - Chief Academic Officer

Stacey was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in southern California. Her lifelong mission is to ensure that students everywhere have access to a high quality education. She has been an educator for over two decades as classroom teacher, school leader, principal manager, and assistant professor of practice in California, New York City, and Colorado. Most recently as an education consultant, Stacey coached and developed school leaders with a focus on rigorous instruction, creating a welcoming school and staff culture, and exercising adaptive leadership skills to improve student outcomes and school experiences.

Stacey earned her B.A. in human development at the University of California in San Diego, her M.Ed. in education leadership from Columbia University Teachers College, and is a doctoral student at CU Denver in leadership for educational equity with a concentration in executive leadership. When not working, Stacey loves to travel, read, try to keep succulents alive, and spend time with her husband Geoff, son Ellis, and rescue dog Daisy.

Jeff Gatlin- Chief Operating Officer

Jeff has been in education since 2003 as a coach, educator and administrator. He has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and Master's of Education degree from University of Texas at Arlington. He has led various technology and operational initiatives with the goal to provide exceptional service and support for those he serves. He joined Roaring Fork School District in 2013. When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family (wife Melissa, daughter Carly and son Hayes) and taking advantage of the vast number of recreational opportunities this beautiful area has to offer

Nathan Markham -- Chief Financial Officer

Nathan is a seasoned finance professional. He is experienced in budget and strategic planning, risk management, treasury operations, and team building. He has a B.S. in Finance from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Colorado - Denver. Nathan is a Carbondale native and is excited to be a part of RFSD and to have the opportunity to serve his community." When not working, Nathan enjoys spending time with family, golfing, sledding, skiing, hiking, reading.

Anna Cole - Chief of Student and Family Services

Anna was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and found her way to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2015. Anna began her career in education as a high school science teacher in Northern New Mexico. Since that time she has supported district, charter, and independent schools through curriculum development, coaching, teaching, board training, and development. She has been involved in teacher education as a curriculum designer and faculty at Colorado Mountain College and Reach University. Anna has a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico, a Master's in Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Thought and Sociocultural Studies from the University of New Mexico. Anna joined the Roaring Fork Schools in 2017 and brings to the work experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion and a strong commitment to coordinated student and family support services. Outside of work, Anna loves spending time outside with her family (husband Dustin, children Henry, Caroline and Maggie) backpacking, biking, skiing, rafting, camping, and hunting stuff (mushrooms, fossils, shells, bones, and rocks).

Angie Davlyn- Chief of Human Resources

Angie is the Chief of Human Resources for the school district. She has been working in education for nearly 20 years and has a MA and PhD in Communication from the University of Colorado. Prior to joining the Roaring Fork Schools, Angie worked on issues of health equity and poverty for a Denver-based social change consulting firm and was the development director for a local youth-serving nonprofit. She lives in Carbondale with her husband, three kiddos, and dog and serves on nonprofit boards dedicated to promoting creative educational opportunities for youth. When not working, Angie enjoys mountain adventures (favorites include skiing, hiking, camping, and river trips), kitchen experimentation, good music, and travel to far-off places.

Kelsy Been - Chief of Staff / Public Information Officer

Kelsy grew up on the Western Slope, graduating from Rifle High School, and has over 15 years of experience working for various public sector and non-profit organizations. Kelsy joined the Roaring Fork Schools in 2016 as the district’s Public Information Officer, leading the district’s communication efforts, and became the Chief of Staff in 2021, formalizing her role as an advisor and support to the superintendent, exec and leadership teams, and Board of Education. Kelsy served as the President of the Garfield County Public Information Officer Board and is a member of state and national school public relation associations. Kelsy has a Bachelor's degree from Amherst College and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. Kelsy lives in Marble with her husband. When not working, Kelsy enjoys exploring the mountains by trail running, skiing, and backpacking and then reading, cooking, and petting canines on rest days.
