To ensure a healthy environment for children, we build parenting skills, provide tools to help parents deal with everyday challenges and encourage community involvement. In the 2018-2019 school year, we implemented the Parent Collective program which included the FocusedKids and Nurturing Parenting Program curriculum. We have partnered with Kathy Hegburg to continue facilitating her FocusedKids and FocusedFamilies curriculum.

The Parent Support Program provides individual counseling and parent-coaching sessions, improving skills to support their children suffering from complex trauma issues.

Parent education is offered in each community (Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs) for parents of young children. We strive to strengthen families' protective factors: parental resilience, social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, concrete support in times of need and social-emotional competence in children.
