Collected Student Data

How we collect student data

Roaring Fork Schools collects student data that can be used to personally identify a student.  Student data collected by Roaring Fork Schools ranges from basic demographic information to assessment results.  Many of the data points collected are required by the Colorado Department of Education in relation to student student demographics and academic performance.  In addition to data elements collected by the Colorado Department of Education, Roaring Fork Schools collects and maintains other student information including:

  • Household Information (Parent Name, Parent Contact Information, Household Relationships, Parent Education Level)
  • Preschool Participation
  • High School Sports Participation
  • Fees
  • Communication or messenger logs
  • Student Medical Information (Health Conditions, Immunizations, Medications, Vision and Hearing Screening, Insurance Information)
  • Behavior Incident Details and Behavior Contracts/Plans
  • Program Participation (Pre-Collegiate, PEAK, English Learner, Special Education, Responsive Services)
  • Non-contact orders or pick-up restrictions
  • Academic Performance Data (Assessment, Learning Plans, Transcripts, Grades)
  • Schedules
  • Student Photos
Under FERPA, the information collected on each student is open to review by a parent/guardian.  To review demographic, household, and attendance data, please log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  If a parent/guardian would like to review the complete educational record of their student, they may send requests to the main office of their school. If parents/guardians determine there is an error, they have the right to request a change in the student’s educational record.
