During the 2017-18 school year, a committee comprising teachers, parents, and administrators was charged with creating a two-year calendar. The calendar planning committee used the following values in order to guide its work in developing school calendars: (1) Student learning; (2) Setting teachers up to do their best teaching; (3) Economic imperatives for our staff, students, and families; and (4) Recreation, vacation, and family time. Another key part of the creation process was gathering feedback from all stakeholders on interests related to the calendar, as well as on the calendar drafts that were developed. The committee hopes to present a calendar for board approval prior spring break so that families can start planning for next year and beyond.
